Honesty and Self Respect - Disha Mewara

My grandparents
Honesty is always admirable in the family, civil society, friends and across the globe. A person with honesty is respected by all. Building the character of honesty entirely depends on his/her family values and ethics and his/her surrounding environment. Parents showing honest behaviour and character in front of their children create an impact on the children, and we say honesty lies in their genes. Honesty can also be developed practically, which requires proper guidance, encouragement, patience and dedication.

Self-respect refers to loving oneself and behaving with honour. An individual who has self-respect would treat himself with honour furthermore lacking self-respect. It is a matter of disgrace for an individual who does not respect himself; he should certainly not expect respect from others; nobody likes to treat such an individual with respect. Self-respect improves the morality of the individual who has good ethical nature. Hence, self-respect makes you a better person.

I have sweet and loving grandparents. My grandmother's name is Mrs Asha Mewara. She is 70 years old. She is very caring. Her hair has turned grey. Everyday she worships Mother Durga very sincerely. She gives me 'prasad'. She knows many fairy tales and stories of 'Ramayana' and ‘Mahabharata’. My grandfather is also sweet. His name is Mr.Om Prakash Mewara. He is 75 years old. He goes out for a walk every morning. He loves to watch news channels on TV. He is very wise. He teaches me many things. My grandparents are my guide, my teacher and my friends. I learn many things while enjoying their company. They love me deeply...I also love and respect my grandparents a lot. We play together in the evening. I am thankful to God for blessing me with such wonderful grandparents.

Self Respect - Jiya Vaishnav

Self-Respect refers to loving oneself and behaving with honour and dignity. It reflects respect for oneself. An individual who has self-respect would treat himself with honour. Furthermore, lacking self-respect is a matter of disgrace. An individual who does not respect himself should certainly not expect respect from others. The person who values his self-respect will respect others. He would never want to hurt anybody with his words or actions. We should treat others the way we want to be treated.

Self-respect develops inner strength and courage to speak for yourself. It also makes us realize how important it is to treat others with respect. It helps us to become more thoughtful in our behaviour.

Honesty and Trust - Riya Vaishnav

Riya Vaishnav
I have been lied to before, and I know it can hurt the morals and personality of a person. I believe in the importance of trust and honesty because they help develop positive relationships. Trust allows one to be able to accept others positively. I think that telling the truth proves that you are a fair and loyal person. Their peers will be more accepted because they know that their secrets are kept with a safe person. On the other hand, people will never fully enjoy this person's company if one is not trusted.

Honesty and trust are an important part of bonding, for they are necessary for any personal relationship. One must be able to share their secrets with someone. I once got in trouble for something I did not do at school, and the principal thought I was lying when I wasn’t. This experience hurt me: I was not believed. When someone is not trusted, it can lower their self-esteem because they miss part of a relationship.

Hardwork - Vinita Sirvi

Vinita Sirvi
A dream doesn't become reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination, and hard work. Hard work is the most important key to success. You can never gain anything if you just sit and wait for a better opportunity to come. Poverty is not a curse but yes idealness is.

Since childhood and even now, I always remember what my parents used to tell me, "To be a better person and to get success, you need to work hard and the fruits of hard work are always sweet". I was a shy person till my 6th class, later I started preparing myself and started working hard and finally, I have reached the level where I can stand in front of the whole school and give a speech. My marks have also increased to a higher level. While studying, a student should engage in some skills development and should do some hard work.

There is a well-known proverb, "Hard work never goes wasted". Impossible can be turned into possible only by hard work. Always remember 'The harder you fall, the heavier you lift, the stronger you climb, the higher your pedestal is'. To develop the value of hard work, parents and teachers should tell the children the stories of successful people. The children should choose a role model for their life.

Friendship - Laxman Singh

Laxman Singh
Friendship is a divine relationship. We don’t have similarity in our blood, but still, that person cares for us. Irrespective of all differences, a friend chooses you, understands you, and support you. Whenever you are in self-doubt or lacking confidence, talk to a friend, and your worry will surely go away.

A true friend will always want your happiness. A life without a good friend is merely empty. Honesty is the key factor to maintain the friendship forever. For understanding each other’s emotions, you have to be completely honest with each other. Patience and acceptance are also other factors for friendship to last long. Understanding the differences as well as accepting them is what a maturity factor in a friendship. Friendship will fulfill you with sweet memories that you can cherish for the rest of your life.

The unbounded love, as well as care, is what makes the relationship between two friends strong.

Honesty - Abhinav Singh

Abhinav Singh
Honesty implies being truthful. Honesty means developing a practice of speaking truth throughout life. A person who practices honesty in his/her life possesses a strong moral character. An honest person shows good behaviour, always follows the rules and regulations, maintains discipline, speaks the truth, and is punctual. An honest person is trustworthy as he always tends to speak the truth.

Last month our class teacher told us about honesty, and I thought that I should be honest in life. Then I had been strictly following the path of honesty during my school time and my home also. I was happy and even amazed when I was honest in all my interactions with others. At this time, I found many people who were truthful to themselves and others. Within a few days itself, I realized how easy it was to change into a happy person and, at the same time, be honest.

I was surprised to find that people can deal with the ups and downs of life with equal happiness with a bit of hard work and a lot of self-control instead of getting annoyed, angry, and dishonest. I observed that everyone can be honest if they want to and have the willingness to follow the path of righteousness. I have made a decision to be honest with everyone and at all times.

Happiness - Yukti Kansara

To understand happiness, one must understand that happiness is not just about success, money, or fame. Real happiness lies in gratitude, doing what you adore, expressing yourself, doing good deeds, or more, but it cannot be described in one word or sentence. It consists much in the small term. It occurs every day in everyone's lives, but it depends on how you find it or what you find it.

I remember an activist, Muniba Mazari, from Pakistan. She is disabled by her legs, but she doesn't let her disability come between her happiness, so why we let our thinking and society come between our way of happiness.  Even writing about this is my happiness as our teacher trusted us and allowed us to express what we think about happiness. Taking an opportunity and doing it from the deep of your heart,  enjoying it, and putting effort into it without any pressure or force is happiness. Even I enjoy it from the deep of my heart and mind.

At last, I'll say it is a choice where you have to decide that it should be in your life or not. We only become happy as much as we decide to be, and if you are happy, you can fill others' life with happiness. Last but not least, I'll put an end to my article by saying, "Happiness depends upon us. Be happy and make others happy."
