THE EVOLUTION OF SOCIAL MEDIA: FROM SOCIALIZING TO MARKETING

Social media has come a long way since its early days as a place to chat with friends and to promote small-scale businesses. Now, it's evolved into a major marketing tool for businesses all around the world.

Back when social media started, sites like MySpace and Friendster were where you'd go to connect with friends and share updates about your life. But then, platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter came along and changed everything.

Nowadays, these platforms aren't just for chatting with friends; they're where businesses go to connect with customers. Take Instagram, for instance. It used to be all about sharing cool photos with your followers. But now, businesses use it to showcase their products and connect with potential buyers. Influencers, who have lots of followers, play a big role too. When they endorse a product, it reaches a huge audience.

Twitter is another example. It started as a place to post short messages, but now businesses use it to interact with customers, share news, and even provide customer service.

The key to social media marketing is engagement. Businesses need to create content that people want to like, share, and comment on. That's how they build a following and reach new customers.

But it's not just about posting ads. Businesses also need to engage with their followers. That means responding to comments, answering questions, and being a part of the conversation.

Overall, like all things in life, change is inevitable. Social media has evolved from something insignificant for mankind to a vital development tool. It has evolved from simple networking platforms into powerful marketing tools. It's changed how businesses connect with customers and has been going strong for a while. Thus with the growing development of the world, the ever-growing expansion of social media is also inevitable.

A Business With A Purpose - Rishona Chopra

Any business needs a purpose to thrive and grow. To fulfil something missing in people's life. To fulfil a much-needed need. A unique idea that serves the customers to their comfort and, of course, an idea that has a clear image and purpose. They know what they want, how to achieve it and how to grow it.

One such business is the Tata Group. It has shaped the India we live in today. Their business has been serving India for so many years, and all of them have been a success.

1969 – Entered the National Centre for the Performing Arts.

1982– The Taj Group accelerated its international expansion.

1983– Tata Salt became the country's first iodized branded salt.

Their businesses were firm in their values and had a clear purpose.

  ***

There is no one person behind a business. It is a team of hundreds of people. Their strong values of cooperation and humility make a strong and concrete business.

If the co-founder of a business is jealous of the founder and tries to belittle him, then won't the business be at risk. While working in a team, will a business work out if people don't respect each other's ideas? If people don't appreciate each other's efforts, will they be motivated enough to strive for more?

Cooperation is when you adjust with someone, whether you like it or not. It is when you help someone not caring about yourself and putting their needs before yours.

While doing business, our core values have to be strong for the business to grow without any inner conflicts between people.

The Life of 10 Rupees - Rishona Chopra

Image courtesy Coins and More Blog

Good Afternoon! I am...well, I don't reveal my name so just call me 10 Rupees. I am unique because I am hated and loved at the same time. But how, you ask?

10 Rupees. What all could you buy with it - Just 2-3 toffees, right? What is the value, and that's what some think? They do not respect me and therefore hate me. But for some, those 2-3 toffees are worth having, seem a box of gold! That is their meal for the day, which brings a smile to their faces!

See the different sides of just me, what do you think? Do you value me or leave that do you appreciate what you get? If you could get a huge, delicious meal in just 10 rupees, wouldn't you care more? But do think that if you had nothing and just a few toffees, I bet you would gobble up all the toffees or save some for the other day.

Shall I tell you something? Don't think I am boasting! I have much more value in this world. Take 10 Rupees to buy some wool and sticks and start knitting! Maybe you can sell your work for more money, and probably you could run a business.10 Rupees would have basically changed your life!

I am not just telling you about myself but telling you to respect things and what you get. Items might have more value than they seem they have.
