In the journey of our lives, we come across many situations that result in the destruction of our peace of mind. Sometimes, we mistakenly hurt someone. It really feels bad when others don't accept your apology and when you are not forgiven for the mistake you made.
There are a lot of things I am responsible for like studying well, doing my homework on time, eating healthy, being nice and kind to the people around me. As the class monitor, I am responsible for minding the class when the teacher is not there, taking the copies down to the staffroom, bringing them back up and distributing the copies. My other responsibilities are to make my bed once I get up, wash my plate after I eat and help with the household chores.
The most important responsibility I have is of myself, I am responsible for my thoughts and actions, I am responsible for the way I communicate and behave, I am responsible for my mistakes and to make sure I don’t repeat them and I am responsible for my well-being and happiness.

I take full responsibility for whatever mistake I have made in the past, even if it's just a spelling mistake. For me, they are not something to regret but to accept. We all make mistakes; there is no such thing as a 'perfect person'. The good thing about mistakes is that they can teach us essential values that nobody else will.
Our class was recently assigned a group project to do in Science. My group decided to make the task so fancy that we couldn't complete it in time, thus getting a big, fat zero. I learnt that we should make things easy and beautiful simultaneously. Even though this error will probably affect my grade, it doesn't matter as long as I learnt something.
It's beautiful if you make an error like this; everybody makes mistakes.Aria Gupta

Instead of finding faults and criticizing ourselves, we should look at it with a positive attitude thinking that we shall not make this mistake again. We all make mistakes and learn from them. We must not have a delusion about ourselves. Therefore we are flawsome - have flaws but are yet so awesome!
Sometimes, we try to change ourselves for someone else, we tend to show off and change our look, personality and style just to make friends but that does nothing. It simply pressurizes us. Therefore we should have an open character and know we are flawsome yet fun.
On the other hand, criticizing the work of others is clearly wrong because we need empathy and fairness towards others. We must understand the feelings of others. If we spot any mistake in their work, we mustn't show it to them rudely. But politely point it out with the intention of looking out for them only if they ask for our opinion. We shouldn't misguide them.
None of us is perfect with no mistakes, but our imperfections make us so perfect!

The foolish mistake in my life was not coming home early from school. I used to be late coming back home because I used to spend time with my friends. One day I came very late to home because I went to my friend's house. My parents scolded me for making such a foolish mistake. I tried to get out of this mistake and never repeat it. I succeeded in my plan and was particular about coming home early.

I know finding out mistakes is easier and catchy to talk about. I faced this problem myself! Although I have a lot to appreciate, I used to find what I didn't have. I have worked on that mistake and have stopped complaining and enjoying what I have. It's a little tricky but the moment you think about the things you have - a home, good clothes, education which most people might not even have you feeling happy and grateful for what you have.
Freedom is the power to act according to our own will. Freedom is expressing things. Children need the freedom to explore, imagine, create, grow and develop their inquisitiveness to acquire knowledge.
Freedom for me is dancing and singing. I can dance and sing freely for hours together. I enjoy my freedom in dreaming tomorrow. I aim to be a Doctor, but at the same time, I would like to be a good classical dancer and a good singer.
For me freedom means expressing myself, freedom to chase my dreams, freedom to believe and trust in myself, freedom to be there for my family, my friends, and society. Freedom to make mistakes and to learn from the mistakes done.
Freedom is responsibility!!
Freedom is motivation!!
Based on the chapter Making Mistakes, Accepting Flaws, from the book is your child ready to face the world by Dr Anupam Sibal.
We are
humans, we tend to make mistakes, and we should accept the mistakes. We should
reflect and learn from our mistakes and not repeat the same mistakes.
Let’s take
the example of Thomas Edison. When he invented the light bulb, he failed 999 times!
Then in an interview, he was asked how was it like to fail 999 times. He said, “I
did not fail 999 times but only found 999 ways of how not to invent the light
bulb.” Every time he made a mistake, he learned from it and improved. Imagine
if he had given up and not learned from his mistakes, our life would be
without light.
We should
not expect everyone to be flawless in everything. There is a beautiful story in
this book called the two pots. It teaches us that we should see goodness in our
flaws. We should accept it, and mistakes are a part of our growth in our life.
All of us, no matter how young, have done something courageous. It would be
doing something for the sometimes or being calm under pressure. Here is my tale
of being courageous.
‘Once, I was going to the park with my sister. I was going inside the lift. And after
a few moments, the lights went out. The lift suddenly stopped, and it was going to
the basement. I was surprisingly calm and collected and knew what to do. My
sister, however, was panicking. As I tried to calm her down, the lift had arrived at
the basement. I pressed the “call” button, and one of the guards on the ground
floor told us to calm down. After 5 mins the lights came on. Finally, I went to
the park.’
See? It isn’t a challenging job. Courage isn’t having no fears but withstanding them
instead. You need it to begin. It gives you the ability to not be embarrassed or shy
and take the first steps to try something. It is one of the most essential values of life.

In the reading session on 19/12/2021, I understood that we humans tend to make mistakes. We are often told that making mistakes is wrong. But mistakes aren’t crimes. It was new learning to me that Thomas Alva Edison failed 999 times while spreading light across the world or inventing the light bulb. A journalist asked him how it felt to fail a bundle of times when he was finally successful. He replied that he had not been failing all that time, but he learned 999 ways by which a light bulb could not be made. So, it is okay to make mistakes but not to repeat them.
I have made many mistakes, but my parents have always encouraged me to learn from them. I know that I will continue to make mistakes, but that will give me the wisdom to be a better individual. As the saying goes, “Learn from your mistakes”.

We all make mistakes, which is OK, but we must learn to accept our mistakes and learn from them. Here we might be pressured by people. People might say that making mistakes is wrong, but that is wrong. It’s OK to make mistakes, but it’s wrong to repeat the same mistakes.
Take the example of Thomas Elva Edison, a famous inventor-
Thomas Elva Edison, while making the light bulb he failed 999 times!! He said that I have not failed 999 times but have learned 999 ways to not make the lightbulb.
Thomas Elva made several mistakes, but he learnt from his mistakes and accepted his flaws.
