My first day of school after 2 years - Yashraj Sharma

Today when I went to school for the first time after 2 years, my sister and I were very excited to go to school. We even got excited hearing the school bus horn when we boarded the school bus. When we reached the school and I reached my class I saw all my classmates and my teachers in person after 2 whole years, who I had been seeing through my laptop screen.

When we heard the school bell ring after the first period, it just added more melody to my ears. The small chitchat sounds of my classmates sounded so exciting.

After that, the barren land of the noticeboard caught my attention and I could somehow empathise with the noticeboard and how it had been totally empty for the past time period and so to add to its vibrance so I decided to make it lively and give my splash of rainbow colours and draw some calligraphy strokes and make it a bit more vibrant and colourful, and so I thought that we weren’t the only ones excited to go to school. Even our class notice boards were excited for us to come to school and make it vibrant again. Yashraj Sharma Grade VIII Gyanshree School

Be the change - Yashraj Sharma

People always want change. They say, “I wish I could change this”, or “I wish I could change that, etc. To be honest, even I do think that sometimes. Many great personalities took the first step toward a significant change.

Let me tell you about one of my experiences-

A few years ago, I used to play online games and eventually became quite addicted to them. My society friends started calling me to play with them. Those games distracted me from my studies to quite an extent. When I got some idle time, I used to start playing games.

But after some time, I started noticing that my younger sister also started playing some other games and got addicted to them. I told her to stop playing or at least reduce the time she used to play. She told me that even if I play for hours, why should she stop playing. I felt terrible for her and myself. So, I decided to reduce my gaming time and only play on weekends. I started doing that, and my sister followed too! That day I imbibed two life lessons “Youngsters do indeed learn from elders” and “To be the change I want to see in others.”

In conclusion, as they say, “Charity begins at home”, so we need to take the first step towards making a change…

Friendship - Arindita

Friendship is a bond between two people that can never fall apart if it is trueIt is when you and another person feel comfortable and happy when you are together

A friend will never let you feel lonely
It is essential to have friends as they will give you company in your journey. You may often have friends that you do not talk to anymore or ones that you may have forgotten about. Sometimes when you or your friend are shifting to a new place or city, you both may feel upset to not be together anymoreBut friendship doesnt end hereEven if you two are not close or apart, a true friendship will still find a way to continue

If you have a true friend, they would never leave you or judge you by your colour, figure, money etc
. They will always be by your side, no matter whatWith a true friend, you wouldnt need to find a reason to smile; you would already have it.

My elder sister is my Best Friend as I always feel free to talk to her tell her everything and all of my feelings that I dont feel free to tell someone elseWe laugh together at random things; we talk about what we think about othersWe NEVER run out of topics. We also watch Peppa pig togetherI always wish that we never fall apartWe also have fights, which is always common between friends.

The most valuable gift you can receive is an honest friend-Stephen Richards.
