Find Your Calling - Rishona Chopra

Based on the chapter Find Your Calling from Is your child ready to face the world by Dr Anupam Sibal.

We all are here to play our part. We are born to discover, create and learn. We are born to dream, but

we must not choose it under pressure to turn to our profession. We must stick to our true calling.

People might say even our parents might say, “ Be a doctor.” But you actually want to be an engineer.

When people don’t do what they want to do, they are not happy and might fail too!

Everybody takes time to decide some at high school others at a very young age, but we must choose

our true calling...

Now I’d like to present a story..(not a true story but can be)

                                        Choosing my calling

I was pressured to be an engineer as the growing technology amazed people as a child.

I wasn’t really interested in technology. I wanted to save lives and be a doctor. Although this made

people impressed, my parents said, “ For years, people have been engineers in the family, and we need

this to continue.”

I knew being an engineer would not make me happy at all, and that was not my calling.

That night, I told my parents that I genuinely wanted to be a doctor that helps people more; screens damage

eyes and I could cure that. Listening to that, I thought my parents felt proud and disappointed

at the same time, but they supported me!

Now I am a successful neurosurgeon! Imagine if I didn’t choose my calling would I be happy?
I don’t think so.

Although we might be pressured, we must choose what really makes us happy.

Courage - Arav Agarwal

Courage, the value of Values, celebrating 22 Values. #JoyOfLearning, My Good School - Life  Skills Program.

“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.” This quote is by Maya Angelou and tells us that courage is the first step to achieve anything. We all have courage within us; we need to connect with it and take the first step. Whenever I need courage in any situation, I take deep breaths and say positive affirmations and words and I get the courage to face the situation.

For gaining courage inside us we can make some positive affirmation cards which have words like – “Believe”, “Awesome”, “I have the power to make an impact”. These cards encourage us and tell us that we are good and we should try more new things with courage and confidence. Whenever we feel fearful, we can look and read these affirmation cards. It will help us to boost our confidence and gain courage.

Caring - Rishona Chopra

We all must have heard about Caring.

Caring is helping someone, right?

Yes, but we can do much more if we have a wide heart. We could heal emotions too. We should always do it with an open mind, dedication, and love when we do something. Similarly, when we care for someone, we should always do it with a kind heart because if we aren’t, then we aren’t caring, and maybe we are hurting them too.

Now I’d like to present a story on Caring.

Care but to make people strong

Once there used to live a boy who was always told the caring is sharing and one must care for others. He wondered why to care for others when we don’t want to? Why don’t we build them strong instead? If we keep helping them with every bit of thing, then they will be weak! This seemed like a silly idea to others, and it might seem to you too, but it’s actually right!!

Of course, we must help and care for people, especially friends but if we help them in every small thing things which they are capable of doing we are actually making them weak because, today we are helping them but not everybody will right and that way your friends might feel too tired to do a very simple work!!

The boy thought this, but others didn’t like his ideas. Some even started making fun of him! This made him really sad, and he stopped helping people. His mother seeing this, told him that it’s essential to help people. He told his mother his idea of caring. His mother said to him that it’s a good idea, but he should help people who need help and help them be emotionally intense.

He did as his mother said and helped himself be a stronger person and care for others!
