My School Song - Aanya Kumar

My name is Aanya Kumar, and I study at Podar International School. Just likeTotto-chan’s old school, our school also has a school song. As requested by Sunita Ma’am in today’s session, I would like to post my school song here-:

We are the kings and queens,

We are the shining dreams,

We nurture sunshine, embrace the winds,

We have the scientific zeal and power to enthral,

We want the whole horizon,

YES, we are Podar, yes, we are Podar.

Hai sanskriti hamari,

Har mushkil hamse hari,

Hum aasman ko chune ki rakhte hai 

taiyari.

YES, we are Podar, yes, we are Podar.

Baapu ne dekha tha sapna,

Hamne usko saakara.

Vishvas, sathya, nishta se,

Chamke banke Dhruvtara.

YES, we are Podar……

Excellence is the key; we make our own destiny. 

Smiling faces, passionate souls, that’s what we are.

The School Song - Rishona Chopra

A school song displays the school but do we really need a song to display our school? Isn't the love of the teachers quite enough? Isn't the hard work of teachers quite enough? We don't need a school song to realize that this is a perfect place, or do we? At Tomoe, we don't have a school song, but the headmaster's love is quite enough to describe his school.

Even if we have a school song, we should sing it with pride because going to a good school is a blessing as it is a haven of knowledge. At Gyanshree, we have a school song, and it goes like this:

We, the Shreeyans, are virtuous and strong
To this heavenly place, we belong
We see our future gleaming in the light
We vow to be prudent and upright
Seeking knowledge, resolute to attain
At Gyanshree, excellence and acclaim
We, the Shreeyans, we are proud to be
Radiant and blissful, wise and worthy
All the Shreeyans, sing out loud
With such a lovely school, we are endowed.

Isn't that a wonderful school song? Although I don't really know the tune, I love to sing it!

Unity In Diversity - Rishona Chopra

We have so many languages,

Each of them gives us so much knowledge.

Lots of different cultures,
Each one of them is precious!

This rich diversity,
Gives me a new identity.

Everyone is so unique,
Together when we come, no one is weak!

Even though our differences create problems,

We should understand our differences are our customs!

We are all united as a team,
We can together make a dream.

After all, it’s unity in diversity,
We are just so extraordinary!

That is why we say east or west,
India is the best!
